Tweet: Lacazette sends message to Ozil after MOTM display against Everton
Alexandre Lacazette has sent a message of thanks to Mesut Ozil after the playmaker set him up for his goal during Arsenal’s 5-2 victory over Everton this afternoon.
Lacazette started up front at Goodison Park having been rested in midweek and we got our first glimpse of our £52m signing playing alongside Ozil and Alexis Sanchez as the trio all lined-up in attack.
They didn’t disappoint as our attackers combined well throughout the game and all three got themselves among the goals during the impressive win on Merseyside.
After Nacho Monreal had equaslised shortly before half time, Ozil headed us in front before setting-up Lacazette to score Arsenal’s third midway through the second half.
Aaron Ramsey and Sanchez scored late goals to make it a comfortable afternoon’s work and it was Ozil who was voted as the Man of the Match for his superb return to the starting eleven.
He set-up Lacazette’s fifth goal of the season and the French international has now taken to Twitter to post a message thanking the fans for their support during the ‘great win’ and to thank Ozil for his assist.
It was great to see them linking up so well together and I’m sure Lacazette is going to score a hat-full of goals this season with players like Ozil and Sanchez playing behind him.
Here is what Laca had to say on Twitter:
Great Win today ! Thanks to the fans ! Thanks bro @MesutOzil1088 !! pic.twitter.com/j5EKGnIi29

The media has to stop trying to bang a wedge between Arsenal and Ozil and Sanchez !

A little more unselfishness on the part of Alexis would have helped Lacazette to Arsenal’s second goal just before the interval. Alexis went alone and ended up making Pickford to shine. I hope Wenger will hve the strength to tell him that it is a team game. You won’t see Man City players do that. I am taking nothing away from a great performance, but these things matter!

Of course 5-2 is a great win. But it remains to be seen
whether the gunners can win against the top sides. That will be
a gauge as to whether they can challenge.
If not it could be one swallow does not a summer make as has been the case for so many summers.

Football is all about teamwork and not individual’s effort, if we could have applied that then we could have pocketed as many goals as possible

Alexis just have play the same way he played last season with that Arsenal can get more point even from top teams up gunners.

Bonaroca:- I would say that this win against Everton should be a tonic for
future games to try and be amongst the top four. Ozil,Lacazette and Sanches
are a strong trio. In my opinion Wilshire should replace Saha and Holden
should replace Mercs but has to be more aggressive when he should be passing
the ball more forward then sideways.
In my opinion from all the matches that I have seen, this is the strongest
formation Mr Wenger has at his disposal.
