Aaron Ramsey and Laurent Koscielny excelled as Arsenal secured a hard-fought 0-0 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this afternoon.

Here are my ratings:

Cech  7/10 | Important save to deny Pedro at 0-0. Didn’t put a foot wrong against his former club.

Bellerin  7/10 | A danger down the right and created a couple of decent chances in the first half.

Koscielny  8/10 | Superb performance from the skipper. Commanding at the back and snuffed out any danger.

Mustafi  7/10 | Did well up against Morata for much of the game and battled well. Good to see.

Monreal  7/10 | Solid and unspectacular performance from Nacho. Just what we needed from him in a tough away game.

Kolasinac  7/10 | Dealt well with the threat of Moses and was on the end of a horror tackle from Luiz late on.

Xhaka  7/10 | Far more disciplined display from the Swiss international. Kept things simple and didn’t wander too much. More of the same next week please.

Ramsey  8/10 | Big performance from Ramsey. Curbed his instincts to get forward to hold his position and keep it tight in midfield. Almost won it after hitting the post following a mazy run in to the box.

Iwobi  6.5/10 | A few neat link-ups and kept his position well to stifle Chelsea.

Welbeck  7/10 | Worked extremely hard in a disciplined performance but forced off with a groin injury. Hopefully it isn’t too serious.

Lacazette  6/10 | Should have opened the scoring just before half time but fired over from 6 yards out. Good movement.

Subs:

Sanchez 6/10 | Couldn’t provide the spark we needed to nick it.

Giroud 5/10 | Wasn’t really involved after coming on.

Elneny 5/10 | Gave away silly fouls and was booked during his 10 minute cameo.

Overall, it was a much more mature performance from Arsenal. We kept things tight and didn’t lose our shape. Perhaps we lacked a little bit of quality in the final third without Ozil and Sanchez but we came away with a well earned point rather than be on the end of a hiding. I’ll take that any day of the week.
