[Photos] Key man missing at Arsenal’s official 2017/18 squad photo-shoot
There was a key face missing as the Arsenal players had their official squad photo for the 2017/18 campaign taken at London Colney this afternoon.
The boys posed for photos with the FA Cup and Community Shield in north London with Alexandre Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac involved for the first time since joining the club this summer.
Alexis Sanchez was also all-smiles despite failing to secure a move to Manchester City on deadline day while Jack Wilshere was also involved as he looks to rebuild his Arsenal career.
Mathieu Debuchy, Calum Chambers and Chuba Akpom were also present after failing to secure moves away from the club in the summer, however, Santi Cazorla was nowhere to be seen.
This prompted speculation on social media as to why the midfielder was missing with some suggesting he’s back in Spain continuing his rehab from his on-going Achilles injury while others claim he wasn’t allowed to be in the squad photo after being left out of our official squad list.
Who knows, but its a shame Santi wasn’t involved as he’s been a great servant for Arsenal over the years and I still pray he’s able to overcome his injury woes to become a key player for us again.
**update** Arsenal have now confirmed Cazorla is in Spain for an appointment regarding his ankle injury.
