[Photos] Injured Arsenal man snapped back in training today
Arsenal attacker Theo Walcott looks to be edging closer to making his comeback from injury after being photographed taking part in full training today.
Walcott suffered a calf injury shortly after our 2-1 defeat at Manchester City in mid-December and although he was only initially expected to be out for a matter of days, he’s ended up sitting out our last five matches in all competitions.
The 27-year-old is expected to miss out once again when Burnley visit the Emirates on Sunday afternoon as Arsene Wenger confirmed at his pre-match press conference on Thursday that the winger wasn’t in contention.
However, Theo can’t be too far away from making his comeback as he’s been snapped taking part in full training with the rest of the squad as they made their final preparations at London Colney ahead of the Burnley game tomorrow.
As long as he doesn’t suffer any setbacks over the coming days, Walcott could be back in the squad for our FA Cup fourth round clash with Southampton at St Mary’s next weekend.
Francis Coquelin, Kieran Gibbs and Hector Bellerin were also out on the training pitches today as they get set to make their comebacks from injury tomorrow as we go looking for a vital three points against Burnley.
