[Video] Forgotten Arsenal man captured back in training
Forgotten striker Danny Welbeck was back in full training today with the rest of the Arsenal squad and the club have released footage of him in action to prove it.
Welbeck has endured a nightmare time with injuries since joining the club from Manchester United two-and-a-half years ago with the attacker missing nine months due to a serious knee injury between 2015/16.
After making his return back in February, Welbeck was then cruelly ruled out once again after suffering another knee injury against Manchester City in May.
The 26-year-old has worked hard to get himself back on the road to recovery and he finally returned to full training with the rest of the first team squad this afternoon.
Arsenal have now released a video on their Instagram account of Welbeck taking part in his training session at London Colney as he looks to rebuild his fitness ahead of his return to the squad.
Wenger has said he’ll be cautious with Welbeck after spending such a long time on the sidelines so I wouldn’t be surprised if he turns out for the U23’s before he’s considered for the first team.
However, it’s great to see him back in full training again. Let’s pray he manages to steer clear of injury and a fully fit Welbeck will be a very useful player to have during the second half of the season.
