We’ve been handed a huge triple injury boost after Hector Bellerin, Olivier Giroud and Per Mertesacker were all back out on the training pitches this afternoon.

Bellerin has missed our last five games in all competitions after suffering an ankle injury against Tottenham at the Emirates almost a month ago following a late tackle from Danny Rose.

The 21-year-old is recovered well and has now been pictured taking part in light training at London Colney this afternoon as the players prepared for Tuesday night’s Champions League clash with Basel.

Giroud has missed our last two matches after picking up a minor groin problem during our win over Bournemouth last month but the French international will be back in the squad tomorrow night after returning to full training today.

Mertesacker has been on the sidelines since suffering a knee ligament injury way back in pre-season but he’s taken a huge step in his rehabilitation after resuming light individual training with the physio’s.

Per is still some way from being ready to make his first team comeback but it’s great to see him back at London Colney after such a long time on the treatment table so hopefully he’ll be back in contention next month.
