On Sunday the 6th of November at 12pm it is that time again when the two best teams in North London go head to head. Arguably The Gunner and Spurs is the biggest rivalry in English football and in the Premier League Arsenal have dominated their local rivals. Over the last couple of seasons though the gap between the two clubs has gotten closer and closer. Last season it came down to the last match which saw Tottenham crash at Newcastle to let Arsenal finish above them yet again. It’s been 21 years since The Lillywhites finished above the Gunners and hopefully that trend will continue for the foreseeable future.

Arsenal

After an extremely disappointing draw against relegation favorite Middleborough in week 9, the Gunners were able to bounce back by thrashing bottom team Sunderland 1 – 4 last weekend. That win took them into second place with only goal difference separating Arsene Wenger’s men from leaders Manchester City.

It’s been a strange campaign so far the Gunners after losing their first game of the season at home to Liverpool 3-4 many fans were fearing the worst. Since then Arsenal are unbeaten having won 7 and drawing 2. Alexis Sánchez has been outstanding again and Wenger must do everything to make sure he stays at the club long-term. Theo Walcott is not injured which makes a surprise and is banging in the goals. Mesut Özil is in fine form and is the Maestro of the team. To challenge for the title this year both Sánchez and Özil will need to stay injury free.

Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs remain the only unbeaten side in the Premier League but have drawn too many games. They have missed Harry Kane since he has been injured as new signing Vincent Jassen has not been able to fill the England Internationals boots. Mauricio Pochettino is hopeful that Kane will be back for the Arsenal game but he will not be fully match fit so could start on the bench.

However, Toby Alderweireld and Erik Lamela will miss the game, Mousa Dembele is a doubt after picking up a knock in midweek while Moussa Sissoko is suspended, so Spurs could be without a number of key men which will be a big advantage to Arsenal.

EPL Week 11 Arsenal vs Spurs Prediction

The bookmakers always find it difficult to predict the North London derbies as they are so unpredictable but most have Arsenal as the favorites due to them been at home and above their rivals in the Premier League. It is worth using the website bestbettingwebsites.org.uk to find the best odds and promotions. I think it is going to be a very tight game with Spurs trying to press high and Arsenal looking to use the pace of Sanchez and Walcott to get behind their defence. The Gunners will need Özil to be on his best form to be able to open up a strong defensive team. I feel that in the end Arsenal are going to be too strong for Spurs on home soil and will ease to a 2-0 victory tomorrow.
