3 Arsenal players who could make you money this weekend

Once again, Arsenal have endured a disappointing start to the Premier League season following our 4-3 defeat to Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

I’m sure there were many DraftKings players like myself who expected big things from Alexis Sanchez at the weekend – he was the highest owned Arsenal player heading in to the Liverpool game presumably because we all thought he’d be among the goals given he was due to start up front in place of Olivier Giroud.

However, Alexis was well below his best and could only generate a disappointing 2.75 points. Given that he only returned to pre-season training a little over two weeks ago, we should all have known better than to bank on the unfit Chilean.

Instead, Theo Walcott surprised us all after becoming Arsenal’s highest points scorer on the opening weekend with a total of 19.25. Walcott was woeful last season but he hit the ground running this campaign after opening the scoring with a fine goal to secure him 10 points while he also managed a further two shots on goal.

Theo also crossed the ball five times for another 3.75 points, was fouled three times to earn another 3 points and made four successful tackles. However, he cost many DraftKings players dear after being deducted 1 point after making two fouls and a hefty five points for his early penalty miss.

Arsenal’s second highest points scorer against Liverpool was perhaps surprisingly Calum Chambers as many felt the youngster struggled at the back after we shipped four goals. However, he found the target to earn 10 points, earned another 2 points thanks to him having a further two shots at goal and drew two fouls for another 2 points. In addition, Chambers made 1 tackle and three interceptions earning him another 2.5 points making his total an impressive 17.5 points.

Our third highest rated player was Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as he scored 13.5 points despite only coming off the bench midway through the second half. The Ox scored 10 of his points for his goal while another effort on target gave him a further 2 points. The young attacker drew a foul and provided one cross earning another 1.75 points.

We’ll look to put the Liverpool defeat behind us and get our first three points on the board when we travel to the King Power to take on Leicester City on Saturday. Here are three players to watch this weekend and get in your DraftKings team:

Alexis Sanchez ($9,100)

The Chilean scored a hat-trick at Leicester last season and with another weeks training under his belt, he should be stronger and fitter on Saturday.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain ($5,600)

The Ox deserves a chance after making a huge impact off the bench on Sunday and I think he’ll be a danger this weekend.

Theo Walcott ($6,400)

Walcott has the ability to be a high points scorer, as he showed against Liverpool, and should keep his place after getting on the score-sheet last time out.
