[Tweet] Ozil sends message to Wilshere ahead of playing return
Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has taken to Twitter to send a message to Jack Wilshere ahead of the midfielder’s long-awaited return to action tonight.
Wilshere hasn’t played a single minute of competitive football this season after struggling to overcome a fractured fibula that he suffered during pre-season training back in August.
The 24-year-old returned to light training earlier this month and Arsene Wenger confirmed at his press conference yesterday that the midfielder will feature for the under-21’s against Newcastle this evening.
Ahead of his return to action, team mate Ozil has taken to Twitter to post a message to Wilshere after uploading a photo of the pair with a caption saying:
“Looking forward to seeing you back on the pitch tonight! #StayHealthy #AFCU21 #COYG @JackWilshere @Arsenal”
Fingers crossed Jack can come through tonight’s game unscathed as it’s been another hugely frustrating campaign for him and I think we’ll really missed him in the middle of the park this year.
However, I suspect Wilshere continue to build up his match fitness with another run out with the under-21’s before Arsene will consider bringing him back in to the first team fold.
