Tweet: Mesut Ozil hails ‘ugly’ win after Arsenal beat Newcastle
Mesut Ozil has take to Twitter to hail a huge ‘ugly’ win after Arsenal dug deep to beat Newcastle United 1-0 at the Emirates on Saturday afternoon.
We were well below our best today and rode our luck at times with Petr Cech coming to the rescue on more than one occasion to keep the Geordies at bay.
However, Laurent Koscielny proved to be the match-winner as he poked home a second half winner following an Ozil corner in the 72nd minute.
The German international has now taken to Twitter to hail what he describes as an ‘ugly’ win but rightly says it’s a huge three points as it ensures we go two points clear at the top of the table.
Hector Bellerin, Koscielny and Calum Chambers have also taken to Twitter to have their say on the win, so check out what the boys have had to say below:
An ugly and hard fought win today ! But huuuuuuuuge 3 points and still of the league. #AFCvNUFC #AFC #Arsenal
