Arsenal have received mixed injury news regarding the fitness of Alexis Sanchez, Laurent Koscielny, Santi Cazorla, Kieran Gibbs and Theo Walcott.

Sanchez limped out of our draw at Norwich at the weekend after picking up a hamstring injury – which led to severe criticism of Arsene Wenger after he risked the Chile star knowing he was carrying a knock.

Cazorla managed to get through the entire game but was also in the wars as he suffered a knee issue that got progressively worse as the match wore on.

Both players have now undergone initial checks and according to the Mirror, the duo are now set for a spell on the sidelines.

The paper claims that Sanchez will miss at least three weeks after pulling his hamstring while Cazorla is also crocked with the club fearing he’s damaged ligaments.

Further scans will be done on Tuesday but if the initial diagnosis are accurate, the pair will miss some important Premier League fixtures but they’ll also sit out our crunch Champions League trip to Olympiakos next week.

Obviously this is a major blow as Cazorla and Sanchez are two of our key players. The task in Greece just got a lot harder but I fear our title challenge will also take a huge hit following these latest injuries.

In a further blow, the Mirror suggest that Walcott is also losing his race to be fit to face Olympiakos as he’s still not returned to full training yet.

Arsene claimed last week that Theo could be back for the trip to Greece but it appears he’s set to join the likes of Wilshere, Welbeck, Rosicky and Coquelin – as well as Sanchez and Cazorla – in missing our European showdown.

However, there is some more positive news as the Mirror claim that Koscielny and Gibbs could be back in action against Sunderland this weekend.

Koscielny was also forced off in the first half at Carrow Road with a hip problem while Gibbsy has a calf injury but the defensive duo are expected to return to full training by the end of the week.

Arsenal’s injury problems refuse to go away and unfortunately until we find a solution, I fear we’ll never be able to mount a sustained title challenge.

Wenger is not learning at all, it is the same problem we face every year but Wenger cannot fix it. That means he is not learning to solve team problems every year.

Its very funny how this situation happens every season. I wrote an article yesterday on Sammy Margo, she’s a top physiotherapist (http://wp.me/p6W2LE-yL) who suggested that its could be because of Wenger’s tactical approach to the game. My annoyance for Wenger is simple, if you know your tactical approach increases the chances of your players getting injured and you know you can’t change your approach then buy enough cover up for your team.

Its beats my imagination to think that Arsenal were the only club in the whole of Europe last summer who didn’t buy one outfield player, its just insane, I think Wenger is taking the fans for granted. I also think Arsene Wenger is the only man in Europe that doesn’t know Arsenal needs a second defensive midfielder (no disrespect to Flamini and Arteta, am sure Arsenal fans agree with me) and a second out-and-out striker. Anytime Giroud scores brace in a game even if I don’t have the chance of watching the game I know probably he has mixed about 18 chances before scoring two, that’s Giroud for you. Henry was right, Giroud can never win Arsenal the league tittle…..Never!!!!

So Mourinho was right Wenger is specialist in failure. This guy refused to buy players at the start of the season. Now the team is hit by injuries, something that happens every season. What has he got for backup children and you cant win

This season we aren’t near as bad as previous years with injuries. Depending on how you measure it, we might even be in the bottom half of the list.

We need to calm down. These days, few players make it through an entire season without being injured at some point.

I think that is wrong, but it is the same for every team. The long term stuff are the nasty ones. The 3-week issues are simply to be expected.

I think we just need change of management, Wenger has failed to deliver, what he has failed to do by now cannot be done by him after all these years of patience

Shut up you spuds. Its either you support Arsenal or you don’t. Arsenal plays possession and skilful football that call for close control and turning at acute angles that is why they are prone to injuries. Look at Barcelona, Neymar, Messi, Iniesta etc have already spent months on the side-lines with injury this year. Even Bayen had some of their stars including the explosive Ribery on the trearment table for over 3 months this year. This club will win the league this year. Sanchez always wants to play and he spent most of the years before last warming the bench at Barcelona, now that he is playing regularly, half-wit so called gooners want to blame Wenger. Go support another team and leave Arsen and Arsenal alone!!! UP THE GUNNERS, UP THE WENGERBALL!!!!

In the last couple of weeks I have been watching closely on the injury crisis at Arsenal and I kept asking myself is Arsenal the only club playing in the English premier league? Is Arsenal the only club playing the tiki-taka football as their fans would claim? or as Sammy Margo who is a leading physiotherapist suggested recently maybe its the tactical approach of their french tactician,or does Arsenal have the worst medical team in England? or according to an article I read some few days the writer suggested that just maybe the players don’t properly warn up on match days, we can go on and go asking several questions.

But one question most Arsenal fans fail to ask is “why is Arsene Wenger not mentioned in all this questions?” As such I will do the fans justice by asking this same questions again; is Arsene Wenger so bent on playing tiki-taka football at the detriment of the players increasing their chances of sustaining injuries giving the intensity of the premier league? Kudos to Cazorla, his made 1000 passes in the league and news emerging this evening is that he will be out till march.
