Video: Alexis Sanchez scored two as Chile beat Peru 4-3 in thriller

By on October 14, 2015

Alexis Sanchez was in excellent form once again last night as he scored two goals and assisted an other to help Chile to a thrilling 4-3 victory over Peru in their World Cup qualifier.

Fresh off the back of his goal-scoring display versus Brazil last week, Sanchez was at it again as he swept home the opener in just the seventh minute to give the visitors the lead.

Peru hit-back with a double from Jefferson Farfan to go 2-1 ahead before Eduardo Vargas levelled things up at 2-2 with a close range finish.

Sanchez then stepped-up to score his second of the match to restore Chile’s lead on the stroke of half-time – it was another fine finish from the Arsenal man to slot home from the edge of the box.

Alexis then unselfishly teed-up Vargas to make it 2-4 just after the break and although Peru pulled one back late on, Chile held on to make it two wins from two games in their qualifying campaign.
