Video: Mesut Ozil grabs superb assist as Germany beat Georgia
Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil was in fine form again tonight as he grabbed a superb assist and won a penalty as Germany beat Georgia 2-1 in their European Championship qualifier.
The World Champs struggled during a goalless first half but Ozil helped break the deadlock shortly after half time after he was fouled in the area. Thomas Muller made no mistake from the spot.
Georgia equalised straight away thanks to a great strike but Ozil then split the visitors defence with a superb ball to find Kruse, who cooly slotted home what turned out to be the winner.
Thankfully Mesut came through the match unscathed so he should be fine for Saturday’s trip to Watford.
