Video: Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud bags brace as France beat Denmark
Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has been in acton for France tonight and got a morale-boosting brace during a 2-1 friendly victory over Denmark.
Giroud has had a tough couple of weeks for Arsenal but he got off to a flying start tonight as he opened the scoring in just the fourth minute when his shot squeezed past the keeper for 1-0.
The Gunners hitman then made it 2-0 just two minutes with a close range tap in at the second attempt after seeing his first effort saved.
Denmark pulled one back late on but France held on to secure the friendly victory thanks to Giroud’s brace.
Hopefully these goals will give him a much needed confidence boost ahead of our clash with Watford on Saturday.
