Video: Individual highlights of Mesut Ozil’s display for Germany
Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil was in fine form for his country again last night as he helped Germany to a 3-2 victory over Scotland at Hampden Park.
Ozil started in the number 10 role behind the striker but was constantly drifting around the pitch, finding pockets of space between the lines.
Germany dominated possession with the likes of Mesut being extremely economical with the ball, as he barely lost possession throughout the game.
Germany won the game 3-2 thanks to a double from Thomas Muller and a second half winner from Ilkay Gundogan, and although he wasn’t among the goals or assists, Ozil did play his part in the build up to Germany’s first two goals before eventually being substituted in the 92nd minute.
Mesut will now head back to North London to begin his preparations for Saturday’s home clash with Stoke City.
