Video: Arsenal star scores brace during impressive cameo for country
Arsenal attacker Theo Walcott came off the bench to score twice during an impressive cameo for England during their 6-0 thrashing of San Marino yesterday.
The Three Lions were already in total control at 3-0 when Walcott replaced fellow Arsenal team mate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the 67th minute and it didn’t take long for him to make his mark.
Theo made it 4-0 just one minute after being introduced as he ghosted-in at the far post to tap home a Fabian Delph cross with his first touch.
Harry Kane made it 5-0 before Walcott got his second of the game, with the 26-year-old firing in a low shot to complete the rout in the 78th minute.
He may not be everybody’s cup of tea but there’s no doubting Theo’s threat in front of goal and hopefully this brace will persuade Arsene Wenger to restore him to the Arsenal starting eleven for Saturday’s clash with Stoke.
