Video: Arsenal 4-0 Singapore XI: Akpom Bags Hat-Trick
Arsenal booked their place in the final of the Asia Cup with a comfortable 4-0 victory over a Singapore Select XI this afternoon thanks largely to a hat trick from Chuba Akpom.
We opened the scoring in the first half when Akpom was on hand to fire home a loose ball in the box before Jack Wilshere made it 2-0 from the penalty spot after Mathieu Debuchy was fouled in the area.
Akpom was then given his chance to make it 3-0 after Toral was brought down by the hosts goalkeeper in the box. The young striker made no mistake before wrapping up his hat-trick just minutes later when he headed home following good work from Bellerin down the right.
We’ll now meet Everton in Saturday’s final after they beat Stoke on penalties earlier today.
