Photo: Starlet Snapped At London Colney After Signing Arsenal Deal
Arsenal have continued to reshuffle their youth academy after wrapping up a deal to sign highly-rated defender Jordi Osei-Tutu from Reading, the club have confirmed.
The 16-year-old caught the eye of our scouts after putting in some impressive performances for the Reading youth sides last season.
Arsene Wenger has decided to take a chance on the teenager as the club announced on Arsenal.com that Osei-Tutu has signed scholarship terms and will link up with our youth academy this coming season.
You can see a photo of Osei-Tutu posing for a photo at Arsenal’s London Colney training base above.
The youngster has predominantly played as a full-back during his time at Reading but he’s also capable of playing as a winger or in central midfield so his versatility is sure to have appealed.
Although I’m sure the clubs youth coaches will take a close look at him over the coming months before assessing where they think his long-term future is.
Osei-Tutu is one of three youth players we’ve snapped up from other clubs in recent weeks as he joins midfielder Vlad Dragomir and forward Yassin Fortune in joining Arsenal’s academy this summer.
In total, 11 players have been handed first year scholarship deals while three others have signed youth professional contracts as Arsenal continue to overhaul their youth set-up this summer.
