Arsenal Beat Man Utd To French Starlet, Player Agrees 3-Year Deal
According to reports in France, Arsenal have beaten Manchester United to the signing of highly-rated attacker Yassin Fortune after the player agreed a three-year deal.
Yassin is considered as one of the hottest prospects in French football after breaking into the Lens team this season and he’s already represented France at under-16 level.
The 16-year-old has attracted interest from a whole host of top European clubs with Arsenal and Manchester United reportedly among those fighting it out over his signature.
However, talkSPORT are citing reports coming out of France that claim we’ve won the race after Yassin agreed a three-year deal to move to the Emirates this summer.
It’s not known what kind of fee we’ll be paying but Lens will be owed a compensation figure for developing the youngster in recent years.
Yassin is reportedly a versatile player who can play in midfield, as an attacking midfielder or as a striker.
I doubt he’ll make an impression on the first team for a while but it looks as though we’ve got another exciting prospect joining this club.
