Two of the top flight’s in-form powers lock horns in what is set to be a crucial battle that could go a long way to defining either’s season.

Arsenal sit pretty at the top of the Premier League’s form table, having won their last six games at home on the bounce, though Liverpool aren’t far behind in third – losing last time out at Old Trafford – but with a run of convincing wins on the road prior to that.

With regards to team-news, Danny Welbeck is only deemed fit enough for a place on the bench while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain misses out with a hamstring injury.

Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has chosen to leave Daniel Sturridge on the bench while Kolo Toure is preferred ahead of Dejan Lovren at the back. Steven Gerrard and Martin Skrtel are also suspended.
