Arsenal Do The Double: Wenger & Giroud Scoop Monthly Awards

Arsenal duo Arsene Wenger and Olivier Giroud have scooped a double after being named the Manager of the Month and Player of the Month for March, the club has confirmed.

Arsene was always favourite to see off competition from Louis van Gaal, Tim Sherwood and Ronald Koeman to win the manager gong after leading us to four consecutive Premier League victories over Everton, QPR, West Ham and Newcastle.

It was a run that saw us climb up to third place in the Premier League table and to within just a single point of second placed Manchester City.

Giroud was also a strong contender to win the player of the month award after scoring five times in those four games, with his double at St James’ Park coming after goals against Everton, QPR and West Ham.

The Arsenal striker beat off competition from Harry Kane, Francis Coquelin, Marouane Fellaini, Jordan Henderson and Gabby Agbonlahor.
