Mesut Ozil Reacts On Twitter After Arsenal Crash Out Of Europe
Mesut Ozil has expressed his disappointment after Arsenal were knocked out of the Champions League by Monaco on the away goals rule last night.
We went into the game at the Stade Louis II needing to overturn a 3-1 deficit from the first leg so knew that a minimum of three goals would be required in order for us to qualify for the quarter finals.
We came agonisingly close to making history after winning the game 2-0 thanks to goals from Olivier Giroud and Aaron Ramsey but we couldn’t find that crucial third goal so crash out on away goals after the tie ended 3-3 on aggregate.
Ozil put in an excellent display and the German took to Twitter last night to express his disappointment at being knocked out after putting in such a brave performance in France.
Hector Bellerin also took to the social network to say how proud he was of the team for their efforts and thanked the fans for believing in them.
Check out what Mesut and Hector had to say here:
It's so hard to be kicked out of the #ucl after such a result and such a game … #MONvAFC

The comments by Wenger after the Monaca game ,to me,smacks of a bad
loser. He blames everybody but himself. It s plain to everybody his sterotype game plan of attack with endless passing is the main problem behind this. Lately there has been a change .Maybe it has finally dawn on him a strong defence is a top, top, top, priorty wth a wc goalie a no one buy.
