Wenger Confirms Walcott Injury Blow + Debuchy Latest
Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Theo Walcott will miss at least the next two games due to a groin injury but Mathieu Debuchy is due back in training in two weeks.
Walcott has missed the last two games after coming back from England international duty with a groin injury but it was hoped he could feature this weekend as it was only thought to be a minor problem.
However, speaking at his press conference this morning, Arsene confirmed to reporters that the attacker will now sit out our upcoming games against West Brom and Southampton.
Hopefully Theo wont suffer any further set-backs and he should be in contention for our trip to the Britannia to face Stoke next weekend – although that’s hardly the idea fixture for him to make his comeback!
There was some positive news from the bosses team news update as he also revealed that Mathieu Debuchy is due to return to full training in two weeks after recovering from an ankle injury.
It will be a huge boost to have Debuchy back as he’s been sorely missed over the past three months but it will probably take him a couple of weeks to get his sharpness back before he’s considered for the first team, so we may not see him in action until late December.
