Arsenal Handed Triple Injury Boost + Latest On Ramsey

Danny Welbeck

Arsenal have been handed a triple injury boost with Laurent Koscielny, Danny Welbeck and Mikel Arteta all expected to be in contention to face Hull on Saturday.

Welbeck was forced off during England’s 1-0 win over Estonia on Sunday night after twisting his ankle and there were fears he could be facing some time on the treatment table.

However, the Telegraph claim the striker was assessed by Arsenal medical staff on Monday and they are confident he has suffered no lasting damage and will be available to face the Tigers.

Welbeck is now due to join his fellow England international’s Jack Wilshere, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Calum Chambers and Kieran Gibbs in returning to training at London Colney tomorrow.

The newspaper also reports that Koscielny is expected to be passed fit to play this weekend despite being sent home from France duty with acute tendonitis.

Obviously it’s a huge relief to have Kos available as with Calum Chambers suspended and Mathieu Debuchy injured, we’d have few options at the back if he was ruled out.

The third piece of good news is that Arteta is due back in full training later this week and could also be pushing for a recall against Hull City.

Arteta has been out for three weeks with a calf injury and depending on how he reacts when he returns to training, he could come in for Mathieu Flamini in midfield.

The Telegraph also had an update on Aaron Ramsey and claim that the Welshman will be back in full training on Monday. Of course it means he’ll miss this weekends game but could be back in contention to face Anderlecht next Wednesday.

Theo Walcott and Serge Gnabry are close to making their first team comebacks after returning to full training on Monday so it looks like we should have a number of players back within the next couple of games.

However, as we reported earlier, Tomas Rosicky could be set for a spell on the sidelines after picking up a knock while away with the Czech Republic.
