Not only did we end up with just a point from our game with Tottenham on Saturday but we also suffered three injuries to key players with Wilshere, Ramsey and Arteta all picking up knocks.

Arteta limped off early on after suffering a calf strain while Rambo was forced off just before half-time with a hamstring injury.

Jack twisted his ankle midway through the first half and although he was able to carry on, he was eventually substituted midway through the second half.

Speaking to Arsenal.com after the game, Arsene Wenger confirmed that although it’s too early to know the full extent of the three injuries, the boss did say that Arteta and Ramsey are certain to miss our next two games against Galatasaray and Chelsea.

It’s not clear whether Jack will be available but if he too is ruled out then we’re going to be down to the bare bones in midfield.

Arsene said:

on the injuries…

I don’t know how long they’ll be out.

on what the injuries are…

I think Ramsey is a hamstring and Arteta is a calf. Wilshere [has] an ankle [problem].

on whether he’s concerned about Wilshere and Ramsey being injured…

Not constantly. Wilshere, if you look at the incident again, has been tackled and turned his ankle over. Ramsey is a concern that he did his hamstring. I don’t understand because he had a good rest this week, I didn’t play him against Southampton on Tuesday night. It’s a surprise because he’s usually a resistant boy.

on whether he expects the three players to be out for Chelsea…

Wilshere, I don’t know. The two others are out for Chelsea for sure.

on what it means with Champions League coming up midweek…

Suddenly we are short because if we lost three players today, and let’s not forgot that we already have two out long-term plus Walcott, that’s six. Diaby is not ready so it starts to become a worry.

on whether Wilshere will be available for Galatasaray…

I don’t know.

It’s fair to say our injury woes aren’t getting any better. In fact, you could argue that they’re worse than they’ve been in previous seasons.

First it was the defence to get hit with several players all out at once, now it looks like it’s midfield’s turn. God knows what we’ll do if Jack is ruled out for any period of time.

Diaby isn’t fit enough to play regular first team football yet so it would be interesting to see who Wenger would go with alongside Mathieu Flamini. Personally I’d go with The Ox in the middle, with Cazorla, Ozil and Sanchez behind Welbeck.

We should know more on how serious the injuries are over the coming days but let’s hope for some positive news. It’s about time we got some luck with injuries…

Arteta should be realeased and not sold at the end of the season because he is just there and contributing nothing to the team. he is old and cant run .

Arsene Wenger is the problem of the team because he keeps bringing in fringe players instead of solid and rugged players. We need strong players.
