“A Deal Between Arsenal And Real Madrid Is Done”

Spanish football expert Graham Hunter has been speaking on talkSPORT this morning where he gave the latest on Sami Khedira’s proposed move to Arsenal.

There has been a lot of speculation over Khedira’s future this summer as he’s just entered the final year of his contract at the Bernabeu and has so far rejected Madrid’s extension offer as it doesn’t meet his wage demands.

Arsenal have been strongly linked with a move for the 27-year-old and speculation in the newspapers last month suggested that we had come to an agreement with Real Madrid for the midfielders signature worth around €30m.

Hunter has now confirmed these reports, claiming that a deal is agreed between the two clubs, but the sticking point remains Khedira’s wage demands with the German international believed to be wanting around £150,000-a-week.

“Club to club, the deal between Arsenal and Real Madrid is done.”

“But Arsenal didn’t fancy paying Khedira the wages he wanted.” Hunter told talkSPORT

So the situation as it stands is that Madrid are ready to sell if Khedira wont sign a new deal, Arsenal have an agreement in place with the Spaniards but are refusing to pay him what he wants. Therefore, any deal is dependent on Khedira lowering his salary demands.

That doesn’t appear likely as Hunter suggests the midfielder is happy to see out the remaining year of his contract and leave Madrid for nothing next summer when, as a free agent, he will be able to demand the high wages he wants.

However you look at it, a deal for Khedira looks unlikely unless Arsene is so desperate to have him that he’s willing to make him our highest earner – which is extremely unlikely when you consider the players recent injury record.

So it’s at a stalemate right now and I personally don’t see either party blinking. We won’t meet his demands and Khedira won’t lower them, so our pursuit appears to have hit a dead end.

William Carvalho is now emerging as a far more likely signing as he will only ask for a fraction of what Khedira wants, he’s five years younger and doesn’t have a poor injury record, but i have a feeling we’ll wait a little longer to see how things develop with Khedira.

    We are reading a collective of information we have been reading for the past four weeks and you still repeating the same informaiton. Do a proper reseach and come up with correct information. Please do not collect bits and pecease of information and compile that information which we have gone through.

    Is Khedira a twat or something. I am sure Arsenal are offering him pretty substantial wages. So he is turning down a four year deal worth £130,000 a week, seems to be our likely offer, which comes over 4 years to 27,000,000. In what fantasy does he want more. I reckon we should go for William Carvalho and get someone who will respect what he earns. Khedira is a great footballer but he is definitely an idiot at the same time.

      Do not get angry with Khedira, you might start to insult him, yet he has never said any word about it. This information is created by the media, you should know it by now. He is not that greed like what the media is saying. They have never talked to him, even Arsene Wenger have never said anything.

    The difference is about £1m a year, so over 4 years that is £4M. I am certain that between the 3 parties they can reach an agreement.

    I even think if arsenal wait until deadline day, Madrid might even knock £4m of the asking price, arsenal can then pay that to khedira. Simple.

    Arsenal can get any other player apart from kedhira who can do the same role e.g cavalho,draxler $ pogba.
    However kedhira is not hapy at barnabou,he may reduce his wages to meet his felow country men ozil,martasaker ß podlisk otherwise he’d be agd holding figure at arsenal

    Please we are seek and tired of reading the same story we’ve been reading from the first day of this summer transfer,this can only show us that you just cook and gather what ever you must have heard or red from other medium and come up with bunch of fake stories.please we only want to hear nothing but the done deal stories.

    if sami says he want €150.000 wage a week at arsenal..what he’s not collecting in real madrid, then we have a lower option In William carvalho who will re sieve lower the price khedira is asking..then let go for him he is a fantastic player with size like yaya toure.
