Arsenal ‘Set To Bid’ For Seamus Coleman – Report
According to Sky News reporters Enda Brady, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger wants to sign Seamus Coleman and we’re set to table a formal bid for the right-back.
Coleman enjoyed a sensational season with Everton last year after being converted to right-back by Roberto Martinez and his adventurous displays down the flank saw him net 6 goals in his 36 league appearances.
The 25-year-old was widely recognised as the best right-back in the in the Premier League and was rightly named in the 2014 PFA Team of the Year.
Understandably, his impressive form has led to interest in his services and now Sky News correspondent Enda Brady has claimed on his official Twitter account that Arsene is ‘very keen’ on the Republic of Ireland defender and a bid is expected to go in.
Arsene Wenger very keen on Seamus Coleman, I'm told. Expect a bid.

This isn’t the first time we’ve been linked with Coleman and I’m praying this is true. He’d be the ideal replacement for Bacary Sagna and would give us another dimension in attack as he’s excellent going forward. Some have questioned his defensive capabilities but I think he’s solid enough and he’d easily be my first choice to replace Bac this summer.
The only problem could be agreeing a deal with Everton as they won’t let him go on the cheap. The papers have suggested it will take in excess of £20m to persuade the Toffees to sell and I]m not sure Arsene would stretch that far for a defender.
