VIDEO GOALS: Bayern 1-1 Arsenal: Podolski Screamer Not Enough
Arsenal produced a spirited performance to draw 1-1 with Bayern Munich in the second leg of our Champions League last 16 tie tonight, but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to prevent us crashing out 3-1 on aggregate.
After a goalless first half, Bayern took the lead when Schweinsteiger fired home from close range but we levelled things up just 2 minutes later when Lukas Podolski smashed home a thunderous strike from a tight angle – although it looked like he had fouled Lahm in the build-up.
We had a couple of half chances to really make it interesting but the hosts had the final big opportunity of the game when Arjen Robben won a soft penalty in the final minute but Lukasz Fabianski managed to save with his feet to keep the score at 1-1.

Shalom.
Bravo Arsenal !
What a way to affirm that you are made of champions stuff. To rattle Bayern in their own home to the extent that Lahm confessed fearing a repeat of last year.
It was a matter of bad luck that you lost in England.
You made your fans proud. Everybody knows that at this level, only one team will progress.
