Arsenal Suffer Injury Blow As Striker Ruled Out With Knee Injury
It appears Arsenal have suffered yet another injury blow ahead of tonight’s Champions League clash against Bayern Munich with Nicklas Bendtner ruled out with a knee injury.
Boss Arsene Wenger gave no mention of Bendtner in his press conference on Monday evening and he wasn’t talked about in the official team news update on Arsenal.com either.
However, respected journalist Jeremy Wilson – who writes for the Telegraph – has claimed this afternoon that the Danish striker has not travelled to Germany with the rest of the squad due to a knee problem.
With Yaya Sanogo also missing through injury, Bendtner was expected to play a role tonight off the bench as we look to score at least two goals to try and progress to the quarter final’s. But with Bendtner now joining Sanogo on the sidelines, it leaves us short of options in attack.
We’re already having to cope with a lengthy injury list that includes Wilshere, Walcott, Ramsey, Gibbs, Monreal, Kallstrom and Diaby, so to be without two strikers as well is a huge blow. We really don’t seem to have any luck with injuries….
Almost slipped under the radar y'day but no place in squad for Bendtner, even with Sanogo injured. Surely now the end for him at #afc

Ref previous tweets, told that Bendtner has a knee problem. Not mentioned by Wenger y'day in various injury updates
