Report: Arsenal Keen On £28m German Attacker

Among all the dubious transfer rumours surrounding Arsenal at present, this is one that I certainly hope has some foundation!

According to reports, Arsenal are interested in signing Borussia Dortmund attacker Marco Reus at the end of the season and will battle it out with Manchester United and Tottenham to try and lure him to England.

Reus is one of the most exciting talents in Europe and has been in excellent form since joining Dortmund 18 months ago, scoring an impressive 22 goals in 49 games, and the Metro claim he’d cost in the region of £28m.

That would be something of a bargain for a player of his talent and at 24, he’s still got his best years ahead of him. He’d also fit perfectly into our system and the thought of him linking up with the likes of Cazorla and Ozil is mouth-watering.

There’s no chance he’d join Spurs, so currently our biggest threat would be United if Reus wants to try his luck in the Premier League. Although I wouldn’t put it past Chelsea or City also entering the race if Dortmund agree to cash-in.

Nothing is going to happen in January so we’ll just have to see how things develop as we head into the summer. Fingers crossed we go for him as Reus would be a HUGE signing.

    I THINK ALL ARSENAL NEEDS IS TO SPLASH THE CASH AND THEY WON’T BE ABLE TO HOLD HIM DOWN JUST LIKE THE OZIL TRANSFER,COS IF ARSENAL MUST LIFT THIS LEAGUE THEN A VERY GOOD STRIKER IS NEEDED UPFRONT TO FIRE FROM ALL CYLINDER.

    Is Mr. Wenger seen or hearing our comments pls i hope we ar not wastng our time, energy & resources we busy sayng it and we ar going 2 contnue Is fantastc Striker we need not any attaker we hav that enough or becouse Giroud is ur country partner this is why u want contnue puttng d fans on pressure!!! Pls splash d cash 4 new strker!

    i don’t know why wenger like featuring giroud while he’s not performing at all! Pls wenger just try d best u can to busy only 1 gud striker! I think that’s d most problem we’hv got so far! Tnx

    We arsenal fans, we are not really enjoying the way arsenal is doing it transfering,we have alot of players,why we didn’t consentrate on our problem that is attakers.

    Plz Wenger u are intrested 2 buy player, but our problem is not attacker mid. We have 2 much midfld.
    z great problem of arsenal is strikes.
    I don’t understand how u are confidant on giroud he is not classic striker,he can’t finish ball zat asisted by z star ozil ,santi, wilsher…he let down z clb by gaol ,since he can’t properl finish z ball.

    Arsene wenger splash the cash,get us a classic striker that can finish the ball Asisted by Ozil or cazorla.
    We are not happy the way Arsenal transfer is going right now.

    I think Arsen wenga should sign one Striker and attacker, becus we can not wait for Walcott till he com bak to his position, From striker, only Giroud is not gud enough for that position, becus he can not score simple goal. before he get goal na by lucky, imagine common midfield get goal pass the striker in Arsenal. I advice Arsen wenga to buy quality striker & attacker before the end of this season, becus that is what happen before we lost the gud striker like Lewadoski, becus of what? we did not buy in tym, before Bayan munich buy the buy you see.     40 mil on ozil, 37 mil on Draxler (for me it’s when not if Draxler arrives) now 28 mil on Reus?! Does the media really think people let alone FANS are going to believe Wenger is about to spend over 100 mil in the space of twelve months on 3 players?? Without a striker in sight no less!!
    If you do, you should try and decide which institute best serves your needs before someone notices and has you committed themselves

    First of all let appreciate d Gunners team players 4 a job well done till dis moment nd also our coach Arsene wenger.I don’t knw Y wenger believe so much on dat lazy olivier Giroud who ave a gud chance of crown d Higest Goal scorer of d season with a lot of 5n attackers like.mesut ozil,santiago carzola,Aaron ramsey,jack wilshere,Thomas Rosicky,mikel Arteta even Kieran Gibbs.out of d 100percent pass given 2 him he only used 28percent scoring 8goals in league is dat a gud striker No he is not at all,Wenger needs 2 find a Gud nd promising striker b4 d end of transfer window close or else anothr trough less of d awaiting

    Reus is one of the player who i admair so much.let not allow united to sign him in the summer.Arsenal have so many German player the likes of Podolski,Ozil,Gnabry will conviced Reus not to join man united but to join Arsenal.And if only we sign Draxler he will also talk to Reus to join them in the Emirate.
