TWEETS: Ozil, Wilshere, Podolski + Gibbs React On Twitter To Win Over Cardiff
We left it late but eventually saw off Cardiff 2-0 at the Emirates on Wednesday afternoon to remain top of the Premier League table.
Nicklas Bendtner broke the deadlock in the 88th minute with a close range finish before Theo Walcott sealed the three points with a lovely chip from a Jack Wilshere pass.
After the game, Lukas Podolski, Kieran Gibbs, Jack Wilshere and Mesut Ozil took to Twitter to react to the result and like all Arsenal fans, the boys were clearly delighted to secure the win and stay ahead of the chasing pack.
Here’s what the players had to say:
1st place! It was a important victory for our team today. Michael, we all hope that you will win, too.… http://t.co/AXPOJdtLuz

The guys made us real proud. Let’s keep the banner flying. My appeal is for the fans who live in the UK and attend games at Emirates regularly to make it hell for visiting teams! Our fans have admittedly not been so great in that regard! We need that twelfth person in form of fans. We need to make Emirates a fortress and the only way we can do that is through a strong fan reaction. As for the boys they need to know and get encouragement from the fact that Arsenal is no longer an English club and an international one with a very big fan base which is on its knees for this season to come out positive. Carry on gunners. Success is ours.
