Reports: Arsenal Set To Sign Striker After Agreeing €8m Deal
Arsenal are set to sign Belgian starlet Michy Batshuayi in an €8m (£6.5m) deal and immediately loan him to Anderlecht for the rest of the season, according to reports.
Batshuayi has been enjoying an excellent season in Belgium with Standard Liege and scouts from Arsenal were understood to have been in the stands to watch him score his 15th of the season against Anderlecht on Sunday.
It’s not the first time Arsene Wenger has sent his spies to keep an eye on the 20-year-old this season and it seems the boss has now firmed up him interest in the exciting striker.
Reports in Belgium are reporting that a Premier League club – believed to be Arsenal – have now agreed an €8m (£6.5m) deal with Liege and will immediately send the youngster on loan to Anderlecht for the rest of the campaign.
It’s curious why Liege would agree the deal knowing that we would then be sending the striker on loan to one of their domestic rivals, but it seems that’s what’s going to happen with the deal apparently going to be announced when the transfer window re-opens next month.
While fans are crying out for a world class striker to come in and help us lift the title this season, it appears we’re investing in the future with the signing of Batshuayi. Hopefully he won’t be the only striker we sign in January.

Arsenal must be after an Anderlecht player as well.
Strange, that they would loan a player to a rival and not to the club who they are buying from.

That logistic of buying and sending the player to the rivalry club is the one that may make mi question the truth of the story!! We all desperately wish to see an impact striker that can score like Suarez or Aguero. Maybe even Dzeko is sufficient to lead Bendtner and Giroud!

Get some one who is used to premiership. I since know u cant buy some one who ll bench Giroud, been from the same country, that is the only key concern, but is wasting our chances

Yes this is more Wenger style, has 100 million in cash and after bargains, at 8 million, Chips Keswick the Chairman insisted Wenger buy Ozil
Wenger never spend 42.5 million on any player, NEVER, NEVER WILL
Ozil not a Wenger signing, he is a scrooge skinflint, tight arse miser

Giroud should not front line striker; He should play at the back of world class strikers like Aguero, Suarez, even walcott. His heading and defending skill is very attractive. So that pair the player with quick talented and shooter who immadiately change the result of the game. Please don’t focus on long run and rush for young players who support Arsenal club in the futre. Do’t forget young players like cambel, yaya sonogo, chamberlin, Gnbry who can do what you need in the coming year. Buy, buy, buy, the best goal scorer who just start and score the goals we want in coming weeks.
