Van Persie Wished Arsenal Well After Dressing Room Visit On Sunday

By on November 12, 2013

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie visited the Arsenal dressing room after he scored the winner at Old Trafford on Sunday, according to reports.

The Dutchman netted the only goal of the game in the first half to consign us to our first league defeat since the opening day of the season and close the gap on us to five points.

The 30-year-old drew huge criticism from sections of the Arsenal support for his wild celebration with many feeling he showed a distinct lack of respect to the club that made him the player he is today.

However, it seems RVP still holds the club a little closer to his heart than his over-zealous celebrations suggest as he took the time to visit his old team mates after the game to congratulate them on their impressive season so far.

The Daily Star claim that many of the players had already boarded the team bus but he was apparently warmly received by the players and staff members that were there, and he’s understood to have expressed his delight at how well the club is doing this season.

Personally, I’m not a fan of this as he made his feelings clear when he celebrated his goal. Chants or no chants, Van Persie should know better than to act like that to the club that stood by him through six injury-ravaged years.

But I suppose he could have let the moment get the better of him and it was decent of him to wish us well, but let’s hope we’re the one’s celebrating in his face when he comes to the Emirates in the New Year.

I wonder if Big Tone, Martin Keown or Paddy V would have welcomed him into the dressing room after losing. I assure you Jack was one of the players on the bus. I seen his handshake with Van Skunk after and he wouldn’t even look at him. This is the problem with some of our players. Like whats this with smiling and hugging players in the tunnel before a match.

Thanks for pointing out the real weakness in our team. It’s not the squad, talent nor management but rather the over “friendliness” or certain players before big games. i remember Theo and John terry laughing before we played them at the bridge and that wasn’t a the game we beat them in.

Aint one bit interested in rvp,ive long since moved on from that nonsense.his disrespect for us says it all really about the type of man he is,what a role model?.Talking of disrespect leads me to utds fans once again as they took the time to sing that disgusting song about arsene wenger yet again, cant get my head around this one.what people if im to be as kind to call them that call a man an abuser of children, absolutely shameful behaviour from a so called big clubs supporters. We could sing something that is true in reference to the squeaky, clean, golden boy model pro that is giggs and what he got up to for years off the pitch. But we have something that utd dont which is class and something between our ears.Like to finish off by saying well done to the arsenal, youve done us gooners proud and we believe as yous do.We will kick on again and finish well clear of utd,see yous in london mancs bit of payback overdue.Thanks.

I agree Isaac, it would be pure hypocrisy if he didn’t. most of us really don’t care if he celebrated, we just hate him

The man should keep his good wishes. I hope this tells Mr Wenger how ‘Arsenal’ the Judas is. The very sight of that man disgusts me. I hate you Judas. I hope you play a friendly against Italy and break your leg in thirteen places!

dont praise your rival, instead talk them low. This is the problem we have hear. Wenger always talk big of v.persie since he left us for man u. He always praise him and went ahead to say that the judas still has Arsenal at heart. These praises gives him more confident to say he is more better than our striker and at such he must struggle to score to prove it. V. Persie is no longer a gunner, but a red devil. Its high time wenger gets used to it. Who carees about his celebration? To hell with him. This is a challenge wenger must accept and get us another top striker e.g benzema or Ba to compete with giroud. Gunners 4 life.

Letting him in our dressing room is a joke, what sort of message does that send out to the squad or the betrayed gooners, next time he knocks, knock the fucker out or get per to breath or blow on the arrogant, disloyal, tosser.Them dopey mancs think hes the business, hes 30 now not much left in him,the one with courage was arsene for chasing him out the door.giroud, podolski and santi made up for his loss last term anyway and ozil will prove a better player for us on his way to lifting the title in his first season.Walcott and lukas should add that extra quality after the break and we will kick on again no doubt.Dont be fooled as utd struggled against a team who had the bug and also played liverpool, dortmund and themselves all within a week. They wouldnt come out and play a depleted, tired arsenal in the 2nd half, they was cowardly.I suspect they and the rest know arsenal are here to stay a different animal these days.look at our away record and pts tally in 2013 its 2nd to none, you dont aqquire this without class, fight, believe and an unbelievable desire to achieve.we will prevail this season. We will get to jan in good shape add one or two and take the title by the scruff of the neck,im very confident and positive about us,bring it on.thanks.
