Tweet: Wilshere Admits Defeat In Goal Of The Month Prize After Kasami Stunner
Jack Wilshere has admitted defeat in the race for goal of the month after Fulham’s Pajtim Kasami scored a stunner during their 4-1 win over Crystal Palace on Monday night.
Wilshere looked odds on to win the October goal of the month prize after being on the end of a sensational team goal on Saturday, with some even suggesting it could even win the goal of the season gong.
But Kasami has put himself right in the frame after scoring a stunning volley at Selhurst Park last night and Wilshere tweeted during the game to praise the midfielders effort and suggest he’s now got the goal of the month tied up.
Watch Kasami’s goal and see Wilshere’s tweet here.
Well there's my 'goal of the month' prize gone!!!! Take a bow! #Player #MNF

I think Jack is having people on. It is certainly a very very very good goal, but an individual strike as against the extraordinary passing that took place against Norwich……….
