Wenger: Arteta Could Return Against Stoke
Arsene Wenger has been speaking at his press conference this morning that has confirmed that midfielder Mikel Arteta could return to the squad this weekend as we welcome Stoke City to the Emirates on Sunday.
Arteta is yet to feature this season after injuring his thigh shortly before our Premier League opener against Aston Villa back in August.
However, it seems he’s now set to return to the first team fold with Wenger revealing today that the 31-year-old will return to full training today and a decision will then be made on Saturday over his involvement against Stoke.

It will be great to make Mikel back as the squad is down to the bare bones right now but it remains to be seen whether he’ll come straight back into the starting eleven if he’s passed fit.
I have the feeling he’ll be among the subs and most likely make his return in the Capital One Cup against West Brom next week. That would be the most sensible solution in my opinion.
Central midfield is hardly an area of concern right now as we’ve got Mathieu Flamini, Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere and Mesut Ozil all fit and playing well so there’s no need to rush Arteta back.
