RATINGS: Fulham 1-3 Arsenal: Ramsey, Cazorla & Podolski Superb
A superb team display from the boys and a welcome three points. Fulham is never an easy place to go but we looked comfortable for the majority of the game, created plenty of chances and scored some impressive goals.
Unfortunately we couldn’t keep the clean sheet, but our season starts from today. Here are my ratings:
Szczesny 8/10
Back to his best after a dodgy opening day display against Villa. Made three or four excellent stops, including a vital double save when the score was still 1-0, and commanded his area well. Made a good save from Berbatov but unfortunately Bent was on hand to tap home the rebound at the far post.
Jenkinson 6.5/10
I thought he struggled a bit to contain Taraabt in the first half but grew into the game as Arsenal began to dominate. Put in a couple of dangerous crosses as well.
Sagna 7/10
Solid in the middle of defence alongside Mertesacker. Am I the only one who thinks he looks better in the centre than on the right?
Mertesacker 7/10
Dealt with Berbatov well enough and almost grabbed a goal at the other end but shot straight at Stokckdale.
Gibbs 7/10
Got forward on occasion and was solid at the back. His pace and powers of recovery are important to the team.
Ramsey 8/10
Another excellent performance from Rambo. He’s come on leaps and bounds already this season and is more than justifying his place in the team. Was everywhere again today and supported the attacks when required.
Rosicky 7/10
Played slightly deeper than we’re used to seeing him and he didn’t disappoint. So comfortable in possession and he’s always looking for a forward pass.
Cazorla 7.5/10
So impressive when he’s got the ball at his feet. The Fulham players couldn’t get near him. Tired slightly in the second half but he’s so vital to our attacking play.
Podolski 8.5/10
Two killer finishes from the lethal German. His all-round play was okay and he worked harder than we’ve seen in the past – perhaps a point to prove after reports linking him with a move away? Who knows, but he certainly proved his importance to the squad with two excellent goals.
Walcott 7.5/10
Was involved in the second goal as his shot was saved by Stockdale before Podolski fired home. Went close to scoring on two or three occasions only to be denied by the keeper.
Giroud 7.5/10
Took his goal extremely well. It was a lovely dinked finish and that’s three in three for the Frenchman. Won his fair share of headers as well and was always a handful.
Subs
Wilshere 7/10
Rested by Wenger but given 30 minutes. Harshly booked but showed his quality with a superb move that almost lead to a goal.
Monreal 6/10
On for the last 20 minutes to shore things up down the left and did his job well enough.
Sanogo N/A
On too late to make any real impression.
If you haven’t seen the goals you can catch them here
So our first three points in the bag. Now we can finish off Fenerbache on Tuesday, then hopefully strengthen the squad before welcoming Tottenham to the Emirates next Sunday.
What were your thoughts on the game? What were your ratings?

Finally something to be positive about. Happy to see Giroud scoring every game, Ramsey 2 MOTM awards out of three games, Sagna playing CB like a real CB, Walcott Playing like an experienced Player now and Cazorla is just out of this world defiantly the most classiest player Afc have brought since the invincible’s team. I’ll put the Villa game down to poor referee but we still need to add to a thin squad but all is not as bad as many say.

Great game! Great win!
That said, the ratings are pretty poor. Cazorla was the best player on the pitch by a comfortable margin. Ramsey getting MOTM is yet another example of the Affirmative Action he gets. Overly-praised without merit. It was a solid performance, nowhere near MOTM.
Also, far better than Ramsey was Sagna. So much excuse making about Ramsey being played out of position but when Sagna does it and performs brilliantly, barely a peep of praise. But whatever. Ramsey is the ‘chosen boy charity case’ and it will always be that way.

I’ve been surfing online more than 4 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours.
It’s pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all
site owners and bloggers made good content as you
did, the web will be much more useful than ever
before.

I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own blog and was wondering what
all is needed to get set up? I’m assuming having a blog like
yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very web savvy so I’m not
100% positive. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Kudos

I am really impressed with your writing skills as well as with the layout
on your weblog. Is this a paid theme or did you
customize it yourself? Either way keep up the nice quality writing, it is rare to see
a nice blog like this one nowadays.

You definitely put a fresh spin on a topic which

I believe what you wrote made a ton of sense. But,
consider this, suppose you added a little content? I mean,
I don’t want to tell you how to run your website, however suppose you added
a title to maybe get a person’s attention? I mean RATINGS:
Fulham 1-3 Arsenal: Ramsey, Cazorla & Podolski Superb | Arsenal Station | Arsenal FC News is a little vanilla.
You ought to glance at Yahoo’s front page and
watch how they create post titles to grab people to click.
You might add a related video or a pic or two to grab readers interested
about everything’ve written. In my opinion, it
could bring your posts a little livelier.
