Video: Huddersfield 0-1 Arsenal: Wenger signs-off with win thanks to Aubameyang

By on May 13, 2018

Arsene Wenger signed-off with a win as we secured a hard fought 1-0 victory over Huddersfield Town at the John Smiths Stadium this afternoon.

We started poorly and were perhaps lucky not to be a goal down after the opening 20 minutes but we got a foot-hold in the game and eventually broke the deadlock just before half-time.

The goal was true WengerBall as some great interplay led to Aaron Ramsey finding Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at the far post and he slid home for his 10th Premier League goal in just 13 games.

Alexandre Lacazette and Danny Welbeck both squandered chances to double our advantage in the second half and it was a nervy game right until the end.

Huddersfield had their own chances to equalise and we have David Ospina to thank for the three points as he made a superb last minute save to seal a narrow 1-0 win.

The victory means Wenger ends his 22-year tenure in charge with a traditional ‘1-0 to the Arsenal’ and we finally got our first away points of 2018 on the board.

Here is the goal:
