Wenger Confirms Sanchez To Be ‘Assessed’ Ahead Of Man Utd Clash
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed that Alexis Sanchez will be assessed this afternoon ahead of Saturday’s clash with Manchester United.
The Frenchman has been speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference this morning and gave reporters a team news and injury update.
Arsene admitted that he had to check on several players following the international break with Sanchez among those who are facing late fitness tests.
The attacker only returned from duty with Chile on Thursday afternoon so the medical staff will assess his condition this afternoon before any decision over his involvement is made.
Sanchez scored for his country during a 2-1 defeat to Uruguay on Tuesday night and he didn’t appear to pick up any injury, so hopefully he’ll be passed fit tomorrow as it would be a huge blow if he wasn’t able to start the game.
