[Image] Key duo return to start, Lacazette out: My Arsenal line-up vs Wolves

Arsenal take on Wolves at Molineux on Tuesday evening. This is the team I’d like to see Mikel Arteta select for the match…

Bernd Leno showed once again during the draw with Man Utd that he’s become a vital player for Arsenal so obviously he’ll keep his place in goal and there’s a solid argument for Arteta sticking with the same back four, too.

However, I’d like to see Gabriel recalled to start alongside Rob Holding. David Luiz has performed very well lately but we shouldn’t forget just how impressive Gabriel was before he got Covid. The sooner he’s back in the Arsenal defence, the better, as far as I’m concerned.

Kieran Tierney has been ruled out once again with a calf injury so Cedric Soares should keep his place at left-back as he’s been surprisingly good while filling-in for the Scottish international. Hector Bellerin will therefore keep his place at right-back.

Thomas Partey didn’t look 100 percent fit against United but a semi-fit Partey is still a cut above Arsenal’s other midfield options so he should keep his place. Dani Ceballos is back in contention after recovering from a muscle issue but Granit Xhaka deserves to keep his place [never thought I’d write that] as he’s been very solid lately.

Martin Odegaard made a late cameo appearance off the bench at the weekend and hopefully he gets more minutes against Wolves but Emile Smith Rowe deserves to keep his place in the attacking midfield role.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was back in full training today so hopefully he’s given the green light to return to the squad. He should have kept himself fit while quarantining so there is no reason Auba shouldn’t start tomorrow.

Bukayo Saka is also set to return after training today. He missed Arsenal’s draw with United due to a minor hip issue but I’d recall him to start on the right wing as he’s been our best player in recent months.

Nicolas Pepe has found a bit of form over the past two games but I’d love to see Gabriel Martinelli starting along with Saka and Aubameyang as I think they’d be an exciting front trio. That would mean Alexandre Lacazette would drop out but at least we’d have some top class options from the bench.

This would be my line-up:

I’m getting really worried about Tierney’s injury issues. I hope he doesn’t develop into another crock in the likes of van Persie or Diaby.
The earlier Arsenal get a capable alternative left back, the better.
