From Spain: Emery convinces 25-year-old to join Arsenal from European giants

By on January 8, 2019

According to Spanish outlet Sport, Unai Emery has convinced Denis Suarez to join Arsenal if he leaves Barcelona this month and the midfielder has given the ‘go-ahead’ to the move.

Suarez has been strongly linked with a move to the Emirates this winter and Emery admitted over the weekend that he was keen to strengthen his squad this month after seeing his options decimated by injuries.

Aaron Ramsey is also tipped to join Juventus either now or at the end of the season while the long-term future of Mesut Ozil is in serious doubt so we need to bring in another attacking midfielder.

The Mirror claimed recently that Arsenal were in talks with Suarez and Barcelona over a potential deal. We reportedly want to take the player on an initial loan while Barca want assurances that a £20m permanent transfer will be completed in the summer.

Sport are now claiming that Suarez has agreed to join Arsenal after being convinced over the move by Emery. The 25-year-old has several other offers but Emery’s determination to sign the player proved significant and Suarez has now decided he’ll only leave the Nou Camp for the Emirates.

The Catalan-based newspaper says Suarez has told Barca to push ahead with negotiations to get a deal agreed this month. The midfielder’s contract expires in 18 months so Barcelona are keen to cash-in if the price is right before his value drops any further.

They are willing to let Suarez leave on loan this month, however, they want guarantees that a permanent deal will be completed in the summer – something Arsenal are yet to agree to. Sport says talks between the two clubs are continuing but Suarez will remain at Barcelona if a deal with Arsenal can’t be reached.

This story is certainly gathering pace all the time and it seems Suarez could become Arsenal’s first signing of the January window if we can agree terms with the European giants.

Buy players not mentioning names. Remember those on loan. Lets think about players like Yaya Toure, Bailey of United and Ces Fabregase etc todays football is money. Break the bank and buy ur players. Good Luck
