[Player Ratings] Everton 2-5 Arsenal: Ozil runs the show for Gunners

Arsenal got back to winning ways in the Premier League after coming from behind to beat Everton 5-2 at Goodison Park this afternoon.

Nacho Monreal, Mesut Ozil, Alexandre Lacazette, Aaron Ramsey and Alexis Sanchez were all on target for an impressive Arsenal side as we thrashed the Toffees.

Here are my ratings:

Cech  5/10 | Didn’t get near Rooney’s curler but was badly at fault for Everton’s late consolation.

Bellerin  6.5/10 | Was involved in some nice moves down the right but delivery wasn’t always up to scratch.

Mertesacker  6/10 | Stood off Rooney to let him curl home the opener. Should have closed him down.

Koscielny  7/10 | Made some important interceptions and clearances.

Monreal  7.5/10 | Well controlled volley levelled the score just before half time. Solid at the back.

Kolasinac  6.5/10 | Struggled a couple of times defensively but overall was solid enough.

Ramsey 7.5/10 | Made it 4-1 with a nice finish late on and was always involved. Grabbed an assist too.

Xhaka  6/10 | Lost possession on the edge of the area which led to Rooney’s opener. He’s lucky we got away with it today but he has to cut out the mistakes.

Ozil  9/10 | What a way to answer your critics. Absolutely ran the show. Scored one, set-up another and created 8 chances during the match. Superb return from the German.

Sanchez  8/10 | An excellent all-round performance from Alexis capped with goal and an assist. Greedy at times but that’s his game.

Lacazette  7.5/10 | Clinical finish to make it five goals for the season. Some good inter-play with Ozil and Alexis. Was great to see them playing together and combining well.

Subs:

Wilshere  6.5/10 | Great to see him back playing in the Premier League for Arsenal and assisted Ramsey’s goal.

WATCH THE GOALS FROM EVERTON 2-5 ARSENAL

A much-needed win and more importantly it was an excellent display of attacking football from Arsenal. If we could just cut out the silly mistakes at the back and keep Ozil/Sanchez/Lacazette fit and firing, then we might just do something this season.

    Yes, Ozil can be very god when we are on top . NOT when we are under pressure.
