Arsenal eased to a 2-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion at the Emirates tonight thanks to a brace from Alexandre Lacazette.

Here are my ratings:

Cech  7/10 | Great save to tip a Rodriguez shot on to the post at 0-0. Vital stop and didn’t put a foot wrong all game.

Koscielny  7/10 | A solid performance from the skipper. Dealt well with a physical West Brom side.

Mustafi  6.5/10 | Very fortunate not to give away a stone-wall penalty at 0-0 but was otherwise solid.

Monreal  8/10 | Superb goal-line clearance to keep it at 1-0 and was excellent all night. His best performance of the season.

Bellerin  7/10 | Involved lots down the right and wasn’t really troubled defensively.

Xhaka  6.5/10 | Poor in the first half as he gave away possession countless times but improved after the break when he controlled the game.

Elneny  6.5/10 | Another bang average performance from Elneny. He isn’t great at anything and shouldn’t be a regular starter but he’s a useful squad player.

Kolasinac  7/10 | A monster down the left at times. Got in to some great positions going forward and was solid at the back.

Ramsey  7.5/10 | Won the penalty and made some excellent runs but still think he’s better utilised in central midfield rather than in attack.

Sanchez  7/10 | Mixed game from Alexis. Was sloppy at times, gave away possession cheaply and looked rusty but was also involved in some excellent moments.

Lacazette  8/10 | On hand to head home the opener from close range and dispatched his penalty expertly for 2-0. A proper poacher who’ll score plenty this season. Great movement and work ethic too.

Subs:

Giroud  6/10 | Not too much to speak of from his late cameo.

Ozil  6.5/10 | A couple of lovely passes after surprisingly being left out.

A vital win considering all our rivals won over the weekend and it was great to see Lacazette getting among the goals once again. Next up is a trip to Belarus to face BATE on Thursday….

JEEEEZAS GAD What does a guy have to do to get the ratings he deserves????? The Egyptian Magician absolutely ran the show, especially in the second half, where for the first time in a very very long time it looked like we were actually in control of the middle of pitch. 9 times out of 10 you do not win football games unless you lock down that area of the field. There must be some kind of undercover prejudice going on against dreadlocked Egyptians with a first name of Mohamed as all of the pundits are saying (again) that he was only average. Well if that was an average performance today against West Brom I cant wait to see when this guy really turns it up. He was everywhere, he had to be because once again it plain to see how inept and unsuited Xhaka is to the physical requirements of the premier league. Elneny took over the game in the second half spraying passes in all directions linking defence midfield and attack as he covered ground for both himself and his midfield partner. The rest of the premier league had better pray that Wenger doesn’t get a brain wave to pair him up with Maitland Niles coz that boy is fast and skillful then we would have a midfield to match up to the top 3 clubs Man Utd have Pogba & Matic Chelsea have Kante and Willian While Man City have bunch of players they can combine. It is where they are strong and we are at present (with Xhaka) weak

Come on, how do you rate Sanchez higher than El neny in that game. Did you watch or listen to the game on radio. El neny was superb yesterday. Xhaka and Alexis did not do well yesterday. You need to understand the game before popping up with weird ratings.
