Arsenal in battle to sign £36.5m World Cup winner

By on August 22, 2017

According to The Sun, Arsenal will now have to fend off interest from Bayern Munich if we want to sign £36.5m-rated Paris Saint-Germain attacker Julian Draxler this summer.

Draxler only joined PSG from Wolfsburg in January but he’s now expected to leave the Parc des Prince following the arrival of Neymar in a world record deal from Barcelona earlier this month.

The French giants are also being tipped to sign Kylian Mbappe from Monaco which would push Draxler even further down the pecking order so a move before the window shuts now looks to be on the cards.

Arsenal have predictably been linked with the German international in recent days with the Express reporting that Arsene Wenger is lining-up a late bid after approaching PSG over a possible deal.

Draxler has been linked with a move to the Emirates several times in the past and it seems the boss has renewed his interest in the attacker after struggling to agree terms with Monaco to sign Thomas Lemar.

I think Draxler would be a sensational signing if we could lure him to north London as he’s already a world class talent and has the potential to become even better if he’s given the right development.

He’s got huge experience for his age and has racked up 35 caps for Germany after helping them win the World Cup in 2014 while he’d provide Wenger with another top class option in the final third.

However, we’re not the only team in the running as not only are the likes of Man Utd and Liverpool being linked but The Sun claim Bayern Munich have also expressed their interest in signing Draxler.

The newspaper says the German giants feel PSG’s £36.5m asking price is excellent value in today’s market so Carlo Ancelotti is now plotting a bid to take Draxler to the Allianz Arena before the window shuts.

This is bad news for Arsenal as it will be extremely difficult for the 23-year-old to turn down a move to the Bundesliga champions so we better hope these reports prove wide of the mark.

The fm shd consider getting ready made material from the epl. Gabriel maybe outstanding in Spain but the epl is the toughest in terms of physical power. That’s why he has found it tough.
The loss to Stoke aint surprising. There were 2 lines of defences and yet the fm still persisted in trying to thread the ball through.
He is a football dinasour and I wont be surprised if Arsenal lose to Pool.
No wonder Gerradr says it ‘s easy to play the gunners and if I may add, beat them.
