Gabriel & The Ox Start: My Arsenal Line-Up To Face Newcastle
Arsenal play their first game of 2016 when we host Newcastle United at the Emirates on Saturday afternoon. This is the side I think should start the match….
Goalkeeper: Cech
Petr Cech should start in goal, obviously.
Defence: Bellerin, Gabriel, Koscielny, Monreal
Gabriel was outstanding during the win over Bournemouth and there is no doubt he deserves to keep his place. Koscielny should obviously be recalled after being rested last time out so that leaves Mertesacker as the man to miss out.
Gibbs did OK on Monday but not enough to oust Monreal so I’d recall the Spaniard and start him along with compatriot Bellerin.
Midfield: Flamini, Ramsey
The Chambers in midfield experiment was largely regarded as a success against Bournemouth but I’m not sure he’s ready to play there on a regular basis just yet, so I’d recall Flamini – who’s set to return from a knock.
With Cazorla and Coquelin out for the foreseeable future and Wilshere still not ready to make his comeback, Ramsey will once again start in the middle of the park.
Attack: The Ox, Ozil, Walcott
I thought Oxlade-Chamberlain put in a good shift on Monday and while Campbell has performed well in recent weeks, I’d be tempted to stick with The Ox on Saturday.
Obviously Ozil should start and hopefully he can continue his stunning form, while I’d keep Walcott on the wing. His finishing will come soon if he keeps getting in to good positions.
Striker: Giroud
Giroud could perhaps do with a rest but with Sanchez [should be back for Sunderland next week] and Welbeck still unavailable, the Frenchman is going to have to continue up front.
This would be my line-up:
What would be your team?

We need to get Ox into some sort of form but Campbell has been the better player.
