Huge blow for Arsenal as boss reveals extent of attackers injury
It looks like Arsenal are going to be without the services of Danny Welbeck until well into the New Year as Roy Hodgson claims the attacker is facing six months on the sidelines.
Arsenal confirmed last week that Welbeck had undergone surgery to cure a long-standing knee injury that had plagued him since way back in April.
The initial diagnosis was a matter of days but the injury refused to go away and four months of rest failed to clear up the issue, so the club had no choice but to operate.
No fixed details were given about the timescale of Welbeck’s recovery with Arsenal simply saying it would be a ‘period of months’.
However, England boss Hodgson has revealed that the 24-year-old is expected to be ruled out for six whole months, meaning he won’t be back until early March.
Hodgson is quoted as saying by the Mirror.
“Welbeck bothers me now. He has already been out for me since March and for Arsenal since April, so that’s over four months. And now I hear it’s another six months, so I can only hope that Danny recovers a bit quicker and then hits the ground running.
“Daniel is a little bit the same — it’s getting on for a year now.
“They are always in my thoughts, because I think they’re very good players and they did extremely well when they were playing in the national team I was coaching.
“But I’ve got to make certain that there are a few Vardys and Kanes and Walcotts and that, because we can’t keep going around talking about the ones who aren’t there.”
If Danny is really out for six months, it would be a major blow, not only for Arsenal as we’ll be missing a versatile attacker, but also for the player himself.
His Arsenal career has been disrupted by injury and he’ll also be facing a race against time to prove his fitness ahead of the 2016 European Championships.
We’ll have to wait and see how quickly he recovers and hopefully he makes a swift recovery, but I personally wouldn’t be surprised if Welbeck isn’t seen until the very end of the season.
These niggling injuries usually take longer to heal and even when he is back in full training, he’ll be susceptible to little knocks that will delay his comeback.
Get well soon Danny!

Definitely believe that which you said. Your favorite reason appeared to be on the internet
the easiest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I certainly get irked while
people consider worries that they just don’t know about.
You managed to hit the nail upon the top and defined out the whole thing without having side effect , people could take a signal.
Will likely be back to get more. Thanks
