PHOTO: Angry Arsenal Fan Confronts Arsene Wenger During Saints Loss

By on January 1, 2015

An irate Arsenal fan was able to run down the touchline and confront Arsene Wenger during Arsenal’s 2-0 loss at Southampton this afternoon.

The ‘fan’ was allowed to walk unchallenged in front of the dugouts towards the end of the game and berate Wenger.

The boss and Steve Bould gestured for the lad to ‘politely go away’ before a steward finally arrived to cart him off down the tunnel.

Understandably, Arsene then complained to the fourth official about the lack of security in and around the visitors dugout.

I’ve seen some suggest on Twitter that this was a Southampton fan but that would make little sense. Why would a home fan be so angry with Wenger when his side was winning 2-0 and why would he risk a lengthy stadium ban to have a pop at an opposition manager?

I think it’s clear from the footage it was an Arsenal fan who must have been sitting in the home stand close to the dugout, and decided to give the boss a peice of his mind after a shocking display.

Some people said that untill Wenger live Arsenal before Arsenal can win UEFA Champions League, I believe it is true becus without quality players how can we reach De semi final of that. It is Asene Wenger choiçe now, he should sign quality players or he should live Arsenal. On New year day for that matter. What a shammmmmmme

After seeing arsenal displays dis season I ve always become anti-wenger whether win or lose. Fact is; as human beings we easily 4get one’s ugly part when he eventually start performing. D board needs 2 take d bull by d horn by sacking wenger. He has faded, he lacks ideas. I strongly think der are 101 capable managers in d world of football dt can do a better job 4 my Darlene club. OUT MR. WASTER.

I hate to say this, but unfortunately Mr Wenger you are now well past your sell by date! It is time for the club to appoint a new boss who will take this club back to the top as Mr Wenger is now tactically clueless! It is entirely his fault that the defence is so weak and that we are now below even Spuds in the Premiership! This season will be a steep learning curve for Wenger and the board as the team will fail to qualify for the C L unless a new man with better tactical awareness and ambition comes in. Oh and another thing, no stubbornness as we have had enough of that now after Wengers reign!
