Arsenal Attacker Tipped For Move After Failing To Make Everton Trip

By on August 23, 2014

Speculation is growing that Lukas Podolski could be set for a move away from Arsenal after the attacker was left out of the squad to face Everton this evening.

Podolski’s future has been in doubt for some time as he’s no longer considered as a first team regular in Arsene Wenger’s starting eleven.

His agent has been talking up a move to Galatasaray in recent days with the Turkish outfit understood to be lining-up a £12m move.

However, reports in Italy this morning claim the German international could in fact be on the verge of joining Juventus after the Serie A champions made contact with Arsenal about a potential deal.

The rumours have now gone in to overdrive with the news that Podolski has been left out of the squad to face Everton tonight, despite the fact that Arsene Wenger confirmed on Thursday that all three of our Germans were now available for selection.

Unless he’s picked up a late injury in training, it does look like the 29-year-old is heading for the exit door. It would be a shame as he’s a really popular member of the squad and does offer us a real goal threat off the bench.

However, if we can get in the region of £12m-£15m for him, then it’s decent business ONLY if Arsene Wenger reinvests the money on a top class forward. There’s no point selling Podolski if we aren’t going to replace him.

We wait anxiously to see who replaces our most clinical finisher. If Arsenal does not have a better player to replace him then it makes no sense selling your most prolific finisher and power puncher.

I would never ever sell podolski. If he can stay fully fit for a season. He can easily score more than 20 goals in all competitions. Besides his crossing is exceptional. He wipps them in with such pace and most importantly it mostly reaches and arsenal
player. I dont want a top player like Podolski to leave.

Never ever? What about if he is replaced by someone better? I agree he has lots to offer but he is not young and certainly there are players that can offer more. I would keep an open mind; I believe there is at least one more good signing to come. My feeling is a CDM and a striker. Possibly a defender as well. Keep the faith!

We both know he wont replace Poldi . Wenger will say he has Zelalem. I think this just a transfer rumour. I dont think Wenger will sell him.

Besides Campbell can learn under Podolski. Both Campbell and Poldi with be brilliant options on the left hand side.

Kick out Giroud and keep him as a impact sub. A front three of Poldi,Alexis and Chambo will be great.

My advice to Mr wenger is to buy three quality plays like striker, defensive mildfielder and one central defence fail to do so you will finish @fourth is a curse.
