Wenger Confirms Sanchez Deal Will Be Completed Today After Personal Meeting
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed to talkSPORT that a deal for Alexis Sanchez is ‘almost done’ and he expects to wrap up the signing on Wednesday.
Widespread reports over the past 24 hours have suggested that the Chilean attacker has opted to join Arsenal after turning down offers from Liverpool and Juventus.
The players agent is believed to have agreed terms over a four-year deal during formal talks in London on Tuesday after we agreed a fee in the region of £30m with Barcelona.
Some reports in Spain suggest Sanchez is set to undergo his medical today and that ties in with what talkSPORT are reporting, as they claim that Arsene has told them a deal should be sealed on Wednesday:
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has told talkSPORT the club expect to complete the signing of Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez on Wednesday.
Stan Collymore, who works for talkSPORT, also revealed the news on Twitter last night during the Germany – Brazil game:
We just spoke to Wenger here, deal is as good as done with Sanchez! From the horses mouth!

The news comes as reports suggest that Sanchez was leaning towards joining Juventus before Arsene Wenger was able to ‘seduce’ the 25-year-old during a face-to-face meeting in Brazil.
It’s understood the boss was able to sway Sanchez into joining Arsenal after telling him he had been following his career for several years and convinced him he will be able to adapt to life in the Premier League.
If true, it just goes to show how valuable Arsene is as he’s proven once again he’s capable of attracting top players to the club. Sanchez is expected to be quickly followed by Mathieu Debuchy who will join for £8m from Newcastle.
Hold on to your hats, it looks like it’s going to be an excited few days Arsenal fans…..

This is good it shows that now the manager can see the importance of signing good players, Sanchez is good we have seen him at Barcelona and the recent world cup games well done Mr Wenger. Maybe Arsenal should think of putting Mr Wenger as the recruitment director. Please do what you did with Sanchez to Khadira as well we need him at the Emirates please he is a vital player we all saw the big role played yesterday in demolishing the hosts. Please Mr Wenger him and Ozil combination is very good.
