Sanchez ‘Flying To London’ To Complete £32m Arsenal Move – Report

By on July 8, 2014

Some interesting reports coming out of Italy this morning suggesting that Alexis Sanchez is now en route to London to complete his £32m move to Arsenal after rejecting Liverpool, Juventus and AC Milan.

We’ve been leading the chase for Sanchez after it become apparent he would be leaving Barcelona this summer and although Liverpool were keen to include him as part of the Luis Suarez deal, the Liverpool Echo announced last night that the Merseysiders had admitted defeat in their pursuit after the 25-year-old’s agents had informed them the attacker has chosen to join Arsenal.

While this news was met with delight by Arsenal fans, many were still worried about a late hijack attempt from Serie A. It seems our fears were well placed as the Metro are citing reports from Italy that claim both Juve and AC Milan made last ditch offers to try and derail our move, but thankfully Sanchez has rejected their advances and is now apparently flying over to London to complete his switch to the Emirates.

Reports over the weekend suggested that we’d met Barca’s £32m asking price and had agreed personal terms ‘in principal’ with the player, so if all this is true, then we’re on the verge of completing a sensational coup.

Sanchez will transform our attack by adding some much-needed pace – something we clearly lacked without Walcott and The Ox for large parts of last season – and he’ll also bring a real goal threat in the final third.

I’m still trying not to get ahead of myself, but it really does seem that barring any last minute catastrophe, Sanchez will become an Arsenal player over the coming days. Here’s hoping…..
