Debuchy ‘Undergoes Arsenal Medical Ahead’ Of £8m Move – Reports

By on July 7, 2014

It appears our pursuit of Mathieu Debuchy has taken a huge step closer to completion as according to reports today, the defender has completed a medical in London after an £8m deal was agreed with Newcastle.

The France international has emerged as Arsene Wenger key target in his search for a replacement for Bacary Sagna and speculation intensified over the weekend that we were closing in on his signature.

It looks like things have now progressed as Goal are claiming that Debuchy was in London on Monday where he completed his medical after we agreed to pay Newcastle £8m up front, with the deal supplemented by additional add ons.

The 28-year-old is now expected to become our first signing of the summer when the formalities of the deal are concluded, which could coincide with the launch of next seasons PUMA kit this Thursday.

And Debuchy might not be the only deal announced this week as Goal, like several media outlets, also claim that we are on the verge of sealing a £32m deal for Barcelona’s Alexis Sanchez.

Personal terms are understood to have been agreed in principal after the attacker rejected the chance to join Liverpool. The only worry now is Juventus finding the money to match our offer and potentially hijacking the deal, but that seems unlikely at this late stage.

So barring any major hiccups, we should have two superb new signings to celebrate over the coming days. Both players will be excellent additions, but understandably most fans will be particularly excited should, as expected, Sanchez conclude his move to the Emirates.

We should be in for an exciting few days Gooners…..

MATHEW DEBUSHY WILL BE A VERY WELCOME ADDITION TO OUR TEAM AND A GOOD COMPLIMENT TO JENKINSON ,WHO SHOULD NOT BE LOANED OUT AS PART OF THE DEAL .
WE NEED QUALITY IN DEPTH .JENKINSON IS MORE THAN ABLE TO PROVIDE THIS I WOULD STILL LIKE TO SEE AURIER SIGNED AS I FEEL HE WOULD PROVIDE PACE AND CROSSING ABILITY AND COULD BE USED TO COVER RIGHT WING FOR THEO WALCOTT. SANCHES WILL BE A GREAT BOMUS TO THE TEAM AND A REAL KICK IN THE TEETH TO THE LYING BRENDON RODGERS AND LIVERPOOL . AS WELL AS TO HIS VAMPIRE STAR STRIKERS CHANCES OF FORCIBG HIS WAY OUT THE DOOR .

I wouldn’t believe on ramours at this moment,we must first see a player on jersey by now but i can’t believe now on Wenger’s decisions as am writing now because there are many disappointments which Wenger use to do to fans to hope for empty promises that he buy best players to the club but he is not doing that at this moment otherwise if he finish the deals of the following players by names Alexis Sanchez, Morata of real Madrid,Remy,Debuchy,Mario,James of Colombia then nothings will fans say about him any more but he is not buying quality players to bring trophy to the club.

you are deluded if you think that Arsenal will buy all the players that you mentioned. If Sanchez and Debuachy come in, then only a DM is required should we keep our current player compliment. We will not get Remy as we have Joel Campbell coming back and if we need an extra defender we can recall Johann Djourou
